The Mulkear Conservation Volunteers undertake projects to protect and enhance the Mulkear River and the surrounding catchment in counties Limerick & Tipperary. We carry out a wide range of projects such as removing invasive plants (Himalayan Balsam), path clearance and scrub clearance work. The volunteers also assist with otter survey work & holt construction, fieldtrips, workshops, and much more. All work is designed to enhance the habitats and wildlife of the Mulkear Catchment linked to MulkearLIFE’s work programme.

The outings take place once a month throughout the year on Saturday mornings. Check out the activity calendar on the right for upcoming outings near you.

For any general inquiries about the MulkearLIFE project and how to get involved, just e-mail us on, visit or give us a ring on 087 0625 582. You can also find us on Facebook.
